Encaustic Beginnings: Afternoon 05/07/23
In-person Workshop, Limit 8
3pm-6pm, Sunday May 7, 2023//Pre-work class date TBD or completed individually
Project: Limited Palette, Collage, Layering and Surface Techniques
Includes all supplies needed for the project. (Frames sold separately)
No experience necessary- this class is meant for beginners or folks who have taken 1-2 previous classes.
In this class you will learn how to prep a panel, layer and fuse encaustic paint, incorporate and layer collage materials and apply different surface techniques and treatments.
This is a 2 part class. The first gathering will be for creating collage papers with indigo ink to use in the finished piece. Time/date will be determined based on participants’ availability.
Please keep in mind this class is about the process more than the product. We will be more focused on techniques and learning vs. producing a piece of artwork to hang.
This class is not refundable but IS transferrable. Please contact me with replacement information.
